Originally the kitchen in the 1747 farmhouse, Harvey Ladew transformed it into
a graceful dining room. The fireplace had been boarded up and paneled over
by the previous owners.
The paneling is painted a Yew Green to match the French wallpaper. Mr. Ladew
added a bay window which provides a sweeping view of the Portico Garden
and Wildflower Meadow.
