Stop by the learning station for hands-on props, activities
and exploration of the natural area featured this day.
This program is for all ages. Drop in anytime between
10:30am - 12noon. Reservations are not required.

Flower Power
Saturday, April 21
Daffodils, tulips and bluebells, oh my! Come surround yourself with
thousands of these beauties, as well as blooms from shrubs and trees
in the gardens. Learn about pollination and some of the seeds
that flowers produce.
Tracks and Trails

Explore the forest habitat in search of animal clues left behind by red foxes,
white-tailed deer, raccoons, crayfish and more.
Pond Search

Join us as we scoop the ponds in the water lily garden for frogs, tadpoles,
dragonfly babies and more.

Investigate the Ladew forest habitat that barred owls call home.
Try your hand at dissecting owl pellets!
Monarchs and Milkweed

Walk through the wildflower meadow in search of monarch eggs, caterpillars
and butterflies and learn about the milkweed plant that their lives depend on.

Frogs, Turtles and Snakes

Bring the entire family for a fun day of learning about reptiles and amphibians.
Enjoy learning stations, live animals, crafts, sing-a-longs, a magic show,
balloon sculptures and lots more. 11 am – 4 pm.
Bugs in the Meadow
Saturday, October 13
We’ll grab our sweep nets and head to the wildflower meadow in search of some
of our favorite meadow bugs—caterpillars, grasshoppers, ladybugs and much more.
Fee: Members are free, Non-Members are free with general admission purchase.
Adults $10, Seniors (62+) and Students $8, Children (ages 2-12) $2.
Registration is NOT required. Check in at the Visitors Center.
If it rains, we’ll bring the outdoors inside!
